Maleficent rescues a raven named Diaval to serve as her informant and he reports to her that Stefan has been crowned king. But being King didn’t make him as happy as he had expected, especially after Maleficent attempted to take her revenge on his daughter. When that didn’t work, he killed King Henry and altered his will to make himself King. Stephan betrayed Maleficent by stealing her wings, using them to try to gain favor with his predecessor, King Henry, who feared and hated fairies. It seems there is more to the story than we knew, and that the real villain is not Maleficent (although she did cause a lot of problems for everybody, not least of all herself), but Aurora’s father, King Stephan. I haven’t seen the video or film or whatever version of this, but … who would have thought Disney, of all people, would have gotten the story so backwards in the original Sleeping Beauty film? Tsk, tsk, tsk. How could Disney have gotten it all so wrong? Audible makes it so easy for me to take it with me on walks, or when I'm cleaning, when ever I decide I want to listen to it instead of music. I adore this book and I love listening to it often.

What does Lucy Rayner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book? But I really do love when Maleficent tries to reverse the curse because she has come to love Aurora. I am trying to pick just one but there are many that I am not sure I can pick just one. There are many memorable moments in Maleficent. What was one of the most memorable moments of Maleficent? I had borrowed it from the library many times till I could get my own. Where does Maleficent rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far? HEDGEHOG FAIRY Production and Narrator were good.

Humans can be cruel, but when seeking revenge, who else will get hurt? The kids will like this a little better than the adults, but both will enjoy it. TRUE LOVE, DIDN'T EXIST This is a lesson in real love and in revenge. The last I did not see coming, but loved it. Sometimes you can guess an outcome and it is a nice to be proven right and to see it happen. The second twist, was one I saw coming, but loved it. The first twist, I did not see coming and was shocked at the cruelty. There were several twists, some I saw coming and some I did not. It would be nice if some writers for adult fiction would take a lesson from this work. Adapted by Elizabeth Rudnick, she was able to get her points across without being preachy or giving lectures. It took me a little while to warm up to it, but once I did I was amazed at the depth of the writing. HUMANS ARE A PART OF NATURE TOO I never saw the movie, but will probably buy it now.
